Description

As the Controller for this established company, you will utilize your problem solving skills to assist with future expansion efforts. You will supervise the accounting staff and partner with the CFO on strategic decision making and operational analysis. Your responsibilities

• Progressive preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits, partnering with the CFO as needed

• Recognize and grow process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency

• Generate relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, actual spend against budgets/outlook, and key financial metrics

• Dissect and generate Ad Hoc financial reports

• Endorse implementation and confirm adherence to accounting policies and procedures

• Support the accounting team during the closing process to confirm deadlines are met

• Assist to ensure a competent, trained staff through goal setting, development, and regular assessment

• Aid with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

Requirements

• CPA/MBA preferred

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

• Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings and budgeting/forecasting

• Construction Accounting experience strongly preferred

• Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
